Wisteria Cottage

Another Sawday success. Wisteria cottage, on the edge of the village green, is old on the outside but fresh on the inside. The spacious and comfortable kitchen/dining/living room has a New England colour palate and vibe. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom is effectively a private suite. The blustery April showers meant that delightful garden will have to wait for a summer return to be enjoyed. The George pub is under new management and feels like it has been restored to much loved village local as opposed to a previous life as a destination gastropub. Don't miss it.

A traditional country cottage in the stunning surroundings of the Peak District village of Alstonefield. Take a spectacular walk from the door into the amazing countryside, and then return to this stylishly decorated, chic cottage which oozes style and quality. Add to that a long soak in the slipper bath, chill in the garden and take in the views, and the hustle of day-to-day life is soon forgotten.

Beautiful spot, with walking from the door. The George for treating yourself after a days activities and plenty of historical houses a stones through away. Lovely open plan living area, for cosy evenings in, and an evening wander round the village that can’t be beaten.

A gem of a cottage - beautiful inside with a modern country chic feel. It feels larger that it actually is, and was definitely big enough for a family of four. The village is lovely and amazing walking from the door and cycling routes nearby, not to mention the pub opposite. The owners were wonderfully friendly and full of ideas for activities and were very accomodating when we asked to check-out a few hours late. Couldn't recommend more highly.

A stylish and well-appointed cottage in lovely Alstonefield, which delivered on everything we needed: comfortable seating and beds, dog-friendly downstairs and enclosed garden, luxurious shower and bathroom fittings and quiet village location with walks from the door. We are already planning to return to one of Jo & Robert' s cottages, or to Alstonefield Manor itself.

Absolutely wonderful, immaculate, cosy, warm and welcoming cottage. Superb interior decor and perfect garden area to accommodate our dog. A credit to Jo and Rob. The George is one of the best pubs/eateries we've been to in many a year - just how local pubs used to be, a step back in time - with a superb menu and staff. Can't praise this cottage enough, will definitely return.

The property and location were perfect.Beautiful kitchen and comfortable lounge with wood burning stove.All felt very luxurious and relaxing.The George which is opposite served fabulous food. Our 2 children who are 13 and 10 really enjoyed cycling along the Tissington and Monsal Trail.Lovely walks too.All very relaxing.
