The Experience
Enter through the garden room – filled with light and a very handy second sitting room for escapees. There’s TV, or you can read quietly in here, bathed in sunshine. Interiors are mellow with bleached floorboards, raw oak barn doors, recycled timbers and delightfully curved walls on which you’ll find local art and screen prints. The living room is cosy, with lots of comfy seating and a Stovax wood-burner to belt out the heat on chilly days.
Bedrooms are upstairs – note the beautiful wooden handrail carved from a single branch. The double has a fully vaulted ceiling, the twin is also beamed and bright. An extra loo up here means you don’t have to stumble downstairs at night – the sparkling walk-in wet room is downstairs. A galley kitchen is well kitted out and a generous welcome hamper is filled with tasty treats.
Stride out on plenty of footpaths, take a boat trip to spot seals and sea birds, picnic on endless wide sandy beaches.

Having stayed twice before at the owner’s other cottage, Stockman’s, we were excited to experience their latest project. Beekeeper’s did not disappoint! This picture postcard property has had all the care and attention bestowed on it as is their trademark. Just 10 minutes from the North Norfolk coast, Beekeeper’s had the added advantage of a bike store, so we were able to easily explore the countryside while leaving the car back at the cottage. There is a an added bonus of a garden room too. Great for curling up with a book and enjoying the afternoon sun! Highly recommend! A & B

A great spot from which to explore the North Norfolk Coast - birdwatch, admire seals, picnic on miles of sandy beaches, walk, cycle (mercifully flat) for miles. The cottage is hugely comfortable, warmed by a wood-burner and with interesting artwork, books and games, so even on rainy days you'll feel quite happy.

Location
The neighbourhood
The quay at Morston is pretty and there's a lovely old church, All Saints, overlooking the sea with a 15th-century rood screen worth visiting. Thursford is a short drive and each year has a Christmas spectacular (book early) with over a hundred performers, during most of November and all of December. Trendy Holt is a 10-minue drive for Georgian houses, independent shops and good pubs.

Introducing
Simon & Catherine Davis
Simon and Catherine moved to Norfolk in 2003 with their three children. They renovate houses themselves (they've even been featured in a few interiors magazines) and run their own antiques business, so have a good eye for detail. Simon will send you a PDF of walks and other advice about the area before you arrive but they are around if you need any extra help.
