The Experience

Deep in the rural shires Lucy (who runs inspiring upholstery courses) and Stephen give you delightful B&B on a working farm. They’ve lovingly coaxed this 15th-century house back to life: large bedrooms, two with four-posters, are hugely comfortable with patterned rugs on wide floorboards, reclaimed wardrobes and views over the orchard or farm. You get roll top tubs to wallow in, fluffy towels and local soaps. Breakfast in the convivial dining room on eggs from the hens, sausages from the pigs and homemade preserves. There’s dinner too, roasts and stews or traditional Caribbean fare. The Malvern showground is nearby.

Reviews

Having spotted that Huntlands Farm was in a Sawday's publication, and having stayed at Uncle John's in Redruth we knew we'd be on to a winner and how right we were. We stayed in the Farmyard Room which was beautifully decorated, was really spacious with a huge bed and, something you don't always get - a sofa to sit and relax on. We had fresh milk, water and apple juice in a fridge outside the door, ample tea and coffee in our room. Next day we had an excellent breakfast cooked by Stephen. We DON'T want to recommend to anyone because maybe we wouldn't be able to get in! Very friendly hosts

Irene

For many a B&B is a means to enjoy an experience locally. At Huntlands Farm the B&B is the experience! Views that have changed little over the centuries, hospitality to die for and a wonderful family, whether it is reminiscing with John as he bottle feeds the lambs, enjoying Stephen's culinary skills or indulging Lucy's determination to make your stay memorable - something at which she is very successful! An evening meal with the family is both amazingly good but also a guaranteed evening of delightful entertainment in great company. Looking forward to a return visit.
