The Experience
Traditional, very comfortable interiors will make you feel at home. Relax on comfy sofas in the wood-panelled sitting room, light the wood-burner which sits in a lovely old stone fireplace, admire fresh garden flowers on the big coffee table. The kitchen is light and bright with colourful cupboards, a big table and plenty of kit – you’re left some basics along with fresh bread and butter to keep you going.
Upstairs bedrooms, a double, a twin and a single, have antique pine furniture, lots of prints on the walls, good views and beds you’ll want to sink into after a long day exploring or walking. They share a good-sized bathroom with views of the church.
Eat outdoors in your own courtyard on warm days. The coast-to-coast trail runs through the estate, Grosmont has an art gallery, café and book shop, Robin Hood’s bay is nearby for surfing and paddle boarding.

Introducing
Olly & Laura Foster
The estate has been in the Foster family since 1869. Olly and Laura and their three young sons took over in 2014 and are passionate about wildlife and conservation. They love the wilderness of the moors and the beauty of the landscape and all the wildlife. They love to share it all with guests.
I'd love to gather family or friends and stay in this pretty cottage on such a glorious estate with much space for dogs and children to romp, the river to paddle or fish in, a cosy kitchen and very comfy bedrooms.
