Cwm Cottage

I sometimes approach a holiday cottage with trepidation - expectations can be high and hopes that I can arrive and unpack and unwind are easily dashed by underwhelming interiors. Not the case for this utterly devine cottage on the Edwindstone Estate. Sharon has thought of every detail for both style and comfort and the calibre of this expert restoration exceeded all my expectations. I would return and whole heartedly recommend a stay to anyone who appreciates perfection.

Stayed at Cwm Cottage for two nights on the Edwinsford Estate. The host left a lovely welcome basket, and was attentive to sending details re: how to access the property. The natural environment itself is absolutely beautiful, very conducisve to unplugging and simply relaxing in nature. Nature walks along the Cothi River are at you front door, as are the calls of pheasant and other birds. The linens, towels, & overall aesthetic is of the highest quality. It is brilliant that the owner has saved this 18th century cottage and has so thoughtfully brought it foward.

This piece of paradise is a wonderful getaway. The overall ambiance and contents of the cottage is to such a high standard and I enjoyed every amazing moment we were there. Bring groceries and relax in the Welsh countryside!! The roads are amazing to walk - the birds are fantastic to listen to , the babbling River also makes for amazing pictures. If you want to get away from it all - this place is it!!!!

We recently stayed at this enchanting place for a relaxing half-term holiday. This was a perfect place. Everything about it was delightful, starting from the immediate environs, which are fairytale-like with the beautiful river, many wild birds (many, many pheasants) and lovely walks starting from the front door. The cottage is spacious and cool, extremely tastefully decorated and lacking no comforts. Sharon, our hostess, was unstintingly kind and helpful in so many ways. We could not recommend this place more warmly.

If you want a beautiful relaxing place to stay, the woodland environment and location of this cottage has it in buckets! There are country views from your doorstep. The cottage itself has every comfort imaginable, a very well equipped kitchen, and cosy sitting room/dining area with a log burner to toast your toes at the end of the day. Would heartily recommend!
