The Experience
Rural and peaceful with barely the sound of a tractor humming over birdsong – you’re in the depths of the Dordogne and it feels good. All that surrounds you are gardens with a touch of the wild side, rolling pastures and woodlands.
Fill your days canoeing in Sainte Foy nature reserve (they’ll pick you up at the door), vineyard visits and hot air balloon rides. Back home there are plenty of things to entertain you: a spot of yoga in the studio or on the outdoor platform, a game of tennis followed by a massage, relaxation in the zen garden or a dip in the heated saltwater pool.
Gather everyone on one of the outdoor terraces for cassoulet and a bottle of local red. If you don’t fancy cooking, Lisa can arrange a chef to prepare and serve the occasional dinner or even three square meals – a veritable Perigordian feast. Return to your delightfully spacious bedroom, either in the main house or the pigeonnier.

Local points of interest from Lisa & Jean-Claude Le Goater
- Chateau de Bardouly was built in 1608 by a charter granted by Kind Henri IV - we still have the original deed! The house has been tastefully decorated and won awards for one of the most luxurious places to stay in the region.
- Delight in close to 100 acres of grounds to hike and explore. We have a number of rare breeds of birds who will sing for your beautifully. Don't miss the pre-historic UNESCO listed caves paintings at Lascaux and Font de Gaume.
- The property boasts a professional yoga studio fitted with all props, lighting, heating and sound system. An extra bonus? I magnificent outdoor wooden platform (designed specifically for yoga) in a most woodland setting.
- The property is close to the medieval town of Issigeac which boast the 'best' open market on a Sunday morning in the region. Take a tour of Chateau de Bridoire, recently restored and lots of activities for kids of all ages.
- Take a cooking lesson with a world class private chef. Enjoy catering provided by our own chef; food guaranteed to be the best you'll have in the region! Have a private wine tasting at the house with a professional sommelier. Lots of wineries to visit!
- Explore historic castles, Marquessac Gardens - a national monument of 150,000 box hedges laid out by Andre le Notre on a hilltop overlooking the Dordogne River Valley. Marvel at the memorabilia from Josephine Baker's chateau Les Millandes

Introducing
Lisa & Jean-Claude Le Goater
Lisa and Jean-Claude live in London. They've been throwing open their doors for years now, welcoming large groups and yoga retreats to take a breath and slow down. They're back and forth but somebody will always be there to help you settle in, organise a welcome shop if you like and answer any questions.
This place is perfect for yoga retreats or a huge family gathering with the many outdoor spaces to relax - the terrace, poolside, zen garden, yoga platform, grass garden and children's play area. I particularly loved the outdoor yoga space and the studio, not forgetting the idea of being fully catered for and the luxurious bedrooms.
