Gites de Sevenne

A really special place. Gorgeous gardens, so well equipped- fantastic pool (pool toys provided), swings, trampoline, dartboard, pong pong table. Duck gite is quaint and compact, equipped with lots of crockery, picnic ware, books, local information, and an outdoor terrace. Shutters, fans and the old stone building helped us cope without aircon despite almost 40° temperatures. We couldn't have asked for better hosts- friendly, on hand to help without being intrusive and a "make yourself at home" attitude. Lovely area with plenty to do within 30 mins drive- markets, bastide towns, river beaches.

What a wonderful week we had at Gites de Sevenne. Gill and Simon went above and beyond to make our stay so special. They provided masses of toys for our granddaughter, there were 5 ice creams in the freezer, they let us use the pool whenever we wanted to including lit night time swims. There were lots of activities in the pretty gardens and chickens! It was like staying with family. And plenty of places to visit around such as night markets and wine tasting. And comfortable beds and Al fresco eating. What more could we want.

We had a fantastic stay. Gill and Simon were fantastic hosts and our kids loved all the toys. The swimming pool was the focus of our great holiday and we felt very safe with our kids staying there. Beautiful gardens & surroundings. We will definitely be trying to go there again soon.

We had the most wonderful stay at Duck Gite and would go back without any hesitation. Gill and Simon are fantastic hosts, there when you need them, but leaving you to enjoy your holiday. They have more toys and games than you could wish for, for all ages, which both our children enjoyed, the pool is perfect and just a few steps away from the gite, and the gite itself has everything you could possibly need. Duck gite was perfect for us with the bedrooms next to each other, but if you had older children Drake is bigger and would be perfect (although we’d have been happy there too).

We had a wonderful restful week in Duck cottage with our two teenage children. The cottage is well equipped and the gardens and poolside a haven of tranquillity. Although it would have been tempting not to step out of the gardens, we loved our visits to the nearby markets, the river and gentle walks to the village to buy bread. Gill and Simon are thoughtful, kind and knowledgeable hosts.

We try to visit Duck Cottage every year and we are never disappointed. Gill and Simon are wonderful hosts and make sure that everything is in tip top condition for our stay'. Duck is comprehensively equipped and furnished. It is set in quiet and extensive gardens, with the addition of a fabulous swimming pool, recently refurbished. An oasis of peace for a book read, a quiet nap or a cooling swim. Good shopping within a short car ride, together with a host of local wineries and restaurants reasonably close at hand. But a car is probably advisable. Children have a garden to enjoy safely.

We had such a wonderful couple of weeks staying at Gite de Sevenne. We have a 4 year old boy and were made so welcome - toys and everything we needed in the gite, outside, by the pool. I think he is very keen to adopt our hosts Gill and Simon as additional grandparents! He had a wonderful time watching the chickens, picking fruit, eating the croissants delivered fresh in the mornings and racing round the beautiful gardens. The setting is beautiful and so relaxed some great stuff in the area for families at Chateau Brindoire, the goat farm, kayaking, biking and village festivals.

We enjoyed a lovely two weeks in Drake Gite. The pool and grounds are wonderful, the stone gite with outdoor space front and back perfect for the hot weather and Gill and Simon were the most fantastic hosts. It is a lovely peaceful part of France and I heartily recommend this location and Gites de Sevenne.

Our family stayed at this Gites in August 2021, booking both Duck and Drake with another family of friends who joined us from London. It is an extremely comfortable and kid-friendly place, in a beautiful countryside with plenty of things to do and see in the surroundings. Staying at home is also very appealing especially for tired adults and for children, as the garden, pool, ping pong and darts make for more than enough opportunity for fun and relaxation. We had an absolutely wonderful time and thoroughly recommend this Gites.
