The Experience
Claire and Philippe manage the impossible: their little hamlet feels miles from anywhere yet there’s masses going on. A campsite, heated pool, play areas, café/bar, animals to feed – among private patios and shady trees. Beyond lie woodland walks and countryside. The Granary is one of four gîtes – the first in a terrace of three in converted farm outbuildings – which are prettily grouped near the pool, close enough for the children to make friends but distant enough for privacy. Cosy, characterful and homely, with beams, exposed stonework and granite fireplaces, the open-plan living area has simple furniture, earthy coloured rugs on tiled floors, a companionable wood-burning stove, and new compact kitchen suitable for holiday meals. Whitewashed walls and pretty fabrics make the most of the small, slopey-ceiling bedrooms. The Yberts are charming, enterprising people and will steer you towards the many historic towns, castles, zoos, aquariums, markets and, of course, Emerald Coast beaches – all within a forty-minute drive. This place is about having fun, making friends and relaxing out of doors.

The neighbourhood
Local points of interest from Claire & Philippe Ybert
- Bakery delivery every morning in July & August.
- Small bar and cafe on site where you can order a nice cold drink or ice cream throughout the day and in the evening, takeaway fries or light meals to go with your barbecue or save cooking at all after a busy day out.
- Masses of information in our reception on what to do in the area, plus we are always on hand to pass on our 24 years of local knowledge.
- Only 26km from the amazing Mont. St. Michel and historic town of Dinan
- Nice easy drive to the beautiful beaches of the Emerald coast, Rennes (Capital of Brittany) beautiful chateau of Fougeres and much much more..
- Lots of cycle paths for those that want to bring their bikes and many many walks from the site or beautiful coastal paths.
