The Experience
A great spot for two in this unspoilt, cobbled fishing village, home of the Fauve artists. You walk from the street into the old fisherman’s house on four floors, with smooth oak floors and plenty of space. A bright, uncluttered kitchen leads to a spiral staircase and your bedroom with good lighting, full length windows and a smart mosaic-tiled bathroom.
Up more stairs is the peaceful living room which has two large sofas, works by local artists and a view out to a blue-shuttered house. Keep going up to find another sitting room with big sliding glass doors onto the sunny terrace with views to the bay and mountains; this is the best place for a sundowner and you’ll find a bottle of rosé waiting for you.
Step from the door into the old town, amble to two beaches, plenty of good Catalan restaurants, cafés, a modern art museum and twice-weekly markets. Gather up delicious local produce and bring it back to cook up a storm.

A beguiling and beautiful house in a perfect street in this gorgeous town. Every room is lovely - a full kitchen where we cooked seriously, a beautiful airy bedroom, a cosy living room where we hunkered down happily the one evening a Mediterranean gale blew; and the delightful terrace, shaded all day, where we spent hours just looking at the view. Collioure itself is wonderful, the sea swimming is idyllic, and it's a very pretty 5 mile run to Port-Vendres harbour and back. We adored Maria's place, and she was the most helpful and pleasant contact throughout.

A beautiful cottage, bijou but well-appointed, beautifully decorated, a piece of French perfection, and in the most wonderful location - the beach a few minutes walk past billowing bougainvillea and yet it is tucked away. On the hottest afternoons, just lying on the bed feeling the breeze or lounging on the terrace was heaven. We loved the market and mostly pic-nicked with delicious local foods as the menus were quite meat-oriented. My favourite walk was along the coast - a swim at Plage de l'Ouille and lunch at Le Racou. Collioure is super friendly and incredibly pretty. We hope to return!

This is a truly beautiful, quiet and comfortable house. Tucked away on a cobbled street just moments from the beach, restaurants and shops - yet insulated from the main tourist traffic - it's hard to imagine a more perfect location for your stay in Collioure. The house has been sensitively modernised, retaining all of its original charm. The roof terrace was perhaps the highlight for us, offering glorious views across the village, the bay (with its iconic Clocher) and the distant mountains. We loved it here and very much hope to return one day!

This is an absolute gem of a house. It’s perfectly positioned in a charming street full of beautifully coloured, lime washed fishermen’s cottages dating back centuries. Definitely one of the prettiest places to stay in Collioure, only a couple of minutes walk to the beach with its iconic church tower and a plethora of superb tapas bars. The house itself is tastefully decorated and designed to make life as comfortable and easy as possible. The view from the private terrace at the top of the house is superb. You can sit and while away hours looking out across the bay. Will definitely go back…

We had a wonderful week in Collioure and enjoyed every minute of our stay in this marvellous and beautiful house. We felt very comfortable and also enjoyed the roof terrace for early evening sundowners. The house is in a quiet little alley, literally minutes fom all shops, restaurants and the beach. We loved the character and charm of this old fishing cottage, especially the crow's nest feel of the roof terrace with its views across the bay. One could not ask for a better position to access all the amenities which this stunning seaside artistic village has to offer.

We've just returned from a wonderful stay at 14 Rue du Mirador, our first time in the beautiful town of Collioure. The house was great, very well equipt, we spent a lot of time on the roof terrace with beautiful views of the sea and mountains. There's lots to see and do in Collioure, perfect without a car. There are so many lovely restaurants to choose from and everyone was so friendly. It was hot and sunny while we were there, so to be able to walk 2 minutes to the lovely clear sea was perfect. I would recommend this charming house, and Collioure is a very special place to visit.

We felt very lucky to stay in Maria's wonderful house! The kitchen was wonderfully appointed if you don't want to go out for meals all the time, and cooking was a joy. The bedroom was very relaxing and chilling out in the living room with a breeze through the windows was lovely too! The roof terrace offers a splendid view, and it is lovely to say hello to the neighbours opposite. We would definitely go back and would highly recommend it. Thank you Maria! :-)

I am not one to write reviews but in this particularly case I just wanted to say what a charming little house this was to stay in. It has everything you could need and is situated in a beautiful street with everything at hand; from a beach at the bottom of the street to shops and restaurants galore. Thank you Maria for a wonderful holiday.

Rue Mirador is one of the prettiest streets in the incredibly quaint and picturesque harbour town. The house has been stylishly decorated and furnished with clever use being made of the space available which is very cosy for a couple. Definitely the "piece de resistance" is the roof top terrace where it is perfect to start the day with a cheery "bonjour" to the neighbours across the cobbled street or enjoy a chilled rose in the evening gazing out at the twinkling lights reflected in the sea.

Via the train from Montpellier Airport, we were delighted to discover the gem that is Collioure and this beautifully restored Fisherman’s Townhouse. Moments from the beach, the property is full of character and finished to a very high standard. Maria Parviz and her husband David have gone out of their way to ensure that their guests can enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay yet you are also only steps away from a great selection of bars, restaurants, shops and water-sports. We would highly recommend this property to another couple looking to discover this hidden gem in the Pyrénées-Orientales.

Beautifully proportioned townhouse, stunning decor, well equipped kitchen. A short stroll for an early morning dip, return via the baker for the freshest croissant and bread you will have ever had, aperitifs on the sun deck look at the superb view over the med, numerous dining options taking in vistas of the Chateau, Castle and Church. Hike through the vine clad hills, or day trip to Gerona if you can pull yourself away from your sun bed on the beach. Fabulous!

Ideally located close to the centre of Collioure, only a few minutes walk from the harbour, shops, restaurants and the twice weekly market. Collioure is a blend of French and Spanish influences, with a Catalan character. The house is well equipped comfortable and on a picturesque narrow street, with art galleries close by.

Location
The neighbourhood
A privileged position in a row of fisherman's cottages, right in the heart of one of France's most enchanting and iconic resorts, once home to Les Fauves and very busy in high summer. You are surrounded by art galleries, craft shops, seaside restaurants and cafés, but set back just a little from the main shopping hub. Collioure has lots to do and there are two beaches.
Local points of interest from Maria Parviz
- Collioure is known as the jewel of the Mediterranean, there's plenty to see and do all year round. From Jan-Dec there are festivals, events, music and art exhibitions. Check with the Tourist Board to see what's happening during your stay.
- Relax on the beaches, explore the forts, the windmill or the Museum of Modern Art. If you want something more active then there's diving, windsurfing, kayaking, tennis, cycling, boat trips & scenic coastal walks.
- There are usually 2 spectacular fireworks displays in the summer: the Festival of St Jean in June and the festival of St Vincent in August
- If you want to travel further, Ceret is a lovely town with a very good Museum of Modern Art. The Spanish border is only 30 minutes away, take the coastal road to Cadaques and visit the Dali Museum. Girona is also worth a day trip.
- If you haven't got a car, there's a great bus service, and the train station is only 10 minutes walk from the house.
- The house is just a minute away from two beaches. Shops, restaurants, cafes and bars are just a couple of minutes away

Introducing
Maria Parviz
Maria bought the cottage many years ago and renovated it with loving care. She and her partner David are based in the UK but come to the property themselves whenever they can, which is probably why it has such a homely, personal feel.
Just come back from a relaxing , inspiring holiday in Collioure. We stayed in Maria’s comfortable, quirky house which is in a brilliant position near the shops, restaurants and two beaches. We ate in quite a lot and the well equipped kitchen made it easy to cook up a feast. Taking the feast up to the terrace at the top of the house proved a bit more difficult but we got used to the climb and the views made it well worth the effort. A good shower and comfortable bed and it was all we needed to enjoy our stay. I would recommend Maria’s house and the joys of Collioure and surrounding area .
