The Experience
Anders and Helen live in the main house and your cottage is tucked away in the rambling garden, complete with flowers, olive groves and fig and cypress trees. It’s set on a hill just above the village of Peymeinade, with shops and good restaurants less than ten minutes’ walk away.
Find a cosy sitting area with a TV, an alfresco eating spot and a laundry room that’s shared with another cottage. You can book both spaces – perfect for two families wanting to go on holiday together yet wanting their privacy, or for bringing the grandparents.
Children will love the garden – there’s a shared swimming pool, summer kitchen and boule court – and the scenery is stunning. You can walk to good restaurants in the village or drive eight minutes into Grasse for Michelin-starred dining at La Bastide Saint Antoine; Cannes, Antibes and Nice are all less than an hour away.

This property is very special in that the area itself if absolutely beautiful, surrounded by such lovely nature, yet still very close to the medieval town of Grasse.. The cottages are ideal for two different families, wishing to spend a holiday together, yet still able to have some privacy and it's relatively rare to find such a situation. A haven of peace and quiet, so rare nowadays.

Perfect location. Great hosts and a very relaxing holiday. We stayed for a week with two four year olds. The pool was perfect, great space in the villa and the children loved playing in the woods around the villa. A wonderful stay- we have already rebooked for next year!

The lovingly tended traces of an ancient vineyard, the gorgeous vistas and scents of the Mediterranean garden impart a feeling of peace and well-being that are becoming all too rare nowadays.

Location
The neighbourhood
The nearest village, Peymeinade, is less than ten minutes’ walk away and has shops, restaurants and an interesting flea market. A major attraction in the area is Grasse, eight minutes’ drive away, with its bustling medieval town centre and perfume distilleries. The village of Cabris is a ten-minute drive and has two good restaurants; St Cézaire (15 minutes) has an excellent Sunday market and stalagmite caves. The wine growing properties of the Var are also very popular with guests in this area, as are the innumerable hiking trails of the breathtakingly beautiful Grasse hinterland.
Introducing
Anders Ripa
Anders is a lawyer and former Swedish Consul General in Nice, and he and his wife Helen are both warm-hearted and sociable. They have lived in Provence for 30 years and have a genuine love and understanding of their adopted home. They have four children who were brought up in the area and an assortment of grandchildren. Helen has green fingers and is a committed gardener and gardening consultant, growing everything from sweet peppers and herbs to flowering plants.
One of the best places we have stayed at. Lovely, well equipped cottage in a stunning Provence garden. We felt so lucky to have access to the beautiful pool area during the heat of the day. A peaceful location, away from the bustle, and yet in easy reach of, the coast. Peymeinade is well served with shops, including a great bakery and organic store, all within walking distance. Anders and Helen are perfect hosts with great tips, including where to eat and the best local markets. We could happily have stayed all summer!
