The Experience
Tucked down a traffic-free alley in Mirasole in the world’s oldest university town, this tranquil hotel fans out over four historic buildings connected by a central, fragrant courtyard. Lovingly renovated and updated over the years, it exudes a charming rustic-chic vibe and long-standing director Roberto looks after you beautifully.
Bedrooms gaze over Bolognese rooftops or the courtyard, and some have dinky terraces and cosy living spaces. Slip down for breakfast in the Orangerie, where huge windows flood the verdant space with natural light. Tuck into an array of sweet and savoury croissants, tarts, cakes, cheeses, yogurt, fresh fruit, and hot eggs and bacon.
Well-nourished for a day of exploring, you’ll step outside to a fusion of modernity and tradition: ancient churches and renowned opera houses rub shoulders with graffitied piazzas and live music venues. Food lovers will be in heaven with a plethora of restaurants and bakeries.
