The Experience
This zany-bright B&B is high in a 19th-century palazzo; inside it’s as fresh and cheerful as its owners. Shiny-new bedrooms are themed by season – spring rose-pink, summery yellow, frosty blue-grey – and overlook a wide plane tree-lined viale leading to the river. Families have the chocolatey red of Autunno, with its sofabed, bath and windows over a quiet inner courtyard; artwork is by your host, Gianluca.
He and Consolata serve breakfast on the terrace; deliciously buttery wafts rise from the bakery downstairs. Feast on fresh breads and croissants, yogurts, cold cuts, eggs, jams and fresh fruits, hot chocolate, cappuccinos and Sicilian red orange juice.
It’s a five-minute walk to Saint Peter’s and the Vatican Museums, perfect for early tours before the crowds; stop off at Lemongrass on the way for wonderful gelato. Ottaviano-San Pietro metro station is a block away and you’re a 30-minute stroll to most of Rome’s delights.

A wonderful place to stay in Rome, perfect location, beautiful accommodation and the friendliest hosts. Gianluca suggested a lovely walk in an area that we had not explored before, which made us feel we are getting to know Rome. We will definitely visit Quod Libet again. Thank you!

Fantastic B&B in a really great location. Really comfortable rooms and relaxed atmosphere. Breakfasts are everything you need before exploring the city and there is use of the kitchen 'out of hours' for a hot drink or to make a snack. The owners couldn't have been more helpful, with suggestions and maps and loads of tips as to how to get the most out of our 2 days in Rome. Thoroughly recommend

Location
The neighbourhood
Prati is the residential area neighbouring the Vatican, with a relaxed, quiet feel. Dine at La Pratolina (700m) for Pinsa, Rome’s signature stretched, doughy pizza, and Il Ragno d’Oro (350m) for Roman classics. Gianluca and Consolata source bread and pastries from Dolce Maniera downstairs – it’s a must-visit, as is the Trionfale daily market (700m) where you can shop alongside Rome’s chefs.
Introducing
Consolata Sodaro
Gianluca and Consolata are easy-going, well-seasoned hosts – they’ve been welcoming guests at their B&B for over 10 years, and have worked in hospitality since the 1990s. They’re also experts on Rome, so make the most of their local knowledge and tips on how to best experience the capital. They don’t live onsite but are always available should you need anything.
Had a lovely time staying here. Proper breakfast, great location, and Gianluca was so generous with his time and advice. Would happily stay there again, and recommend to others.
