The Experience

It’s peaceful here. Olive, fig and mulberry trees surround you and views soar over fields of sunflowers and wheat. Start your day with a long, lazy breakfast under the pergola: salami, cheese, eggs, ham and honey all come from neighbouring farms, fruits and vegetables are picked from the garden here and the bread is home-baked. Choose a book from the library (you’ll find them in four languages) and settle in the living area with its exposed brick walls and linen-covered sofas.

The saltwater pool is large enough for laps and the loungers are invitingly comfy but there’s also plenty to do. You can hike or cycle through two national parks and many local ones, join a truffle hunt then have lunch at the hunter’s house or head to the coast for boat trips or swimming in crystal clear waters under mighty cliffs.

Return to walk-in rain showers and super bedrooms with views all the way to the mountains of the Monti Sibillini National Park.

Reviews

I was caught up in Nelly and Loris' excitement as they put the finishing touches on their dream project, ready to pamper and guide guests to some of their favourite spots in this corner of scenic Marche. They have chosen an idyllic location between sea, hill and mountains and provide an efficient and highly comfortable accommodation with the amenities and services of a boutique hotel.

Location

The neighbourhood

This is a very much untouched part of Italy. Marche has the best of both worlds - amazing mountains and a fabulous coastline. In between you'll find some medieval villages with culture and excellent restaurants - Trattoria Antonietta in Jesi (15 minutes) has the best homemade pasta - and there are plenty of small vineyards to visit, along with farms producing perfect cheeses and meats.

Local points of interest from Nelly Keune & Loris Succo

  • Great local wineries to visit, one is just a beautiful 10 minute walk away from us. You can discover the wines of the region on your own, at one of the numerous wine festivals or on a guided wine tour.
  • The Riviera del Conero (35 minute drive), is the most beautiful area of the Adriatic coast. In the regional park of the same name with dreamy bays, steep cliffs and sheltered beaches, you can spend a wonderful day hiking and eating seafood.
  • You can start hiking directly in our little town Cingoli. We are enthusiastic hikers ourselves and have hiking maps and a lot of insider tips (also for little restaurants during and after the hike) ready for you.
  • On your doorstep the historic and picturesque local towns of Jesi, Cingoli, Corinaldo, Osimo, Loreto and Macerata, the latter being home to the world-renowned July Opera Festival in its ancient arena the Sferisterio.
  • A paradise for foodies: we have a lot of wonderful local produce from the award winning wines, olive oil, artisan beers, pastas, salamis, meats right on our doorstep.
  • Over the past years we have been trying out the best restaurants in the region for you. Small trattorias, farmhouses that upon request-only will prepare wonderful dishes for you, fish restaurants and also a whole range of Michelin-star restaurants.

Introducing

Nelly Keune & Loris Succo

Nelly and Loris are hands on hosts. They live in a separate part of the building but are very knowledgeable about the area and can help you make the most of your time. They can give you tips on grand walks (they are big walkers themselves), offer you bike storage if you bring your own and organise courses or treatments. They've always dreamed of owning a place for guests to feel truly at home in.
