The Experience
Iggy travelled far and wide before he realised all he wanted was home – we’re very glad he did. Start your day with sea views and a dip in the infinity pool; breakfast on fresh ricotta, prosciutto and breads in the pergola next door or in your room.
Sicily offers total relaxation. Head to the beach for vitamin D and watch old boats bob around the port; pick up cherry tomatoes from the outdoor market – the area is famous for them – and pair them with Ragusan cheese for the perfect picnic.
Choose a book from the library, stock up on snacks (there’s an honesty bar) and take a break from the sun in the shaded pine garden. Spend your evening wandering market stalls in Marina di Ragusa port town – the view of lights over the marina is best enjoyed hand in hand with your favourite person.

What a wonderful place, so peaceful, relaxing and comfortable. With hard work & plenty of industry expertise Iggy and Lara have carved out a little part of paradise & they share it with you with such warmth and friendliness that you really do feel like a guest. They are so helpful & want you to have a wonderful stay and get the most out of the area, all their recommendations were spot on. Rooms are spotless, simply but beautifully designed & very comfortable with everything you need. Marina di Ragusa is lovely, great beaches, bars & restaurants & close to lots of other beautiful towns.

We have stayed at many, many hotels, guest houses, etc...and this has got to be one of the best we have been to. Great rooms, everything thought out, everything you need to make the stay super comfortable. Add to this the fact that the team (all of them) are super helpful, knowledgeable and simply really nice people - full of ideas of where to go, what to see , what to do, etc.... Brilliant. And last, but not least the actual physical location is great for you to tour the region - I would stay at Mangiabove for 5-6 nights and travel to and from rather than 2 places for 3 nights each.

We had a wonderful three days at Mangiabove in September.....our favourite place in our two week visit to south-eastern Sicily. Mangiabove is truly a special place to stay.....we loved the peace and tranquility, our immaculate and cool studio with comfortable bed, crisp linens and well equipped kitchenette, and the beautiful swimming pool and garden where we spent many hours relaxing and admiring the view to the sea. Iggy is a charming and kind host who is passionate about his home.....thank you for sharing it with us!

Lovely place. Very relaxing. Clean, tidy and tasteful. Iggy, Lana and Carlos were fantastic and looked after us very well. Good, quick correspondence, nothing was too much trouble. We feel very fortunate to have had a few days there, just wish we had more.
