The Experience

Forget the gated estate, the laundered golf course, the wholesale luxury of hyper-modern bathrooms, just revel in the authenticity of this magnificent 600-year-old farmhouse, its outside staircase in the pretty paved courtyard, its glorious views of mountains and medieval castle, its constantly-tended garden where roses climb, lavender wafts and there’s space for all to ramble or run. The gardens and beautiful infinity pool are floodlit at night. Bedrooms have those heart-stopping views, scatter cushions on embroidered bedcovers and fine copies of old masters while communal areas are big-beamed and cosy with, as everywhere, loads of space. As well as an overflowing welcome basket, you will find toys for all ages, the latest electronics and a chef’s kitchen. Walkers will be in paradise, golfers will love the privilege of a Robert Trent Jones course on the spot, art and history buffs will feast on Umbria’s treasures – or even jump on a train to Florence. Chrissie is the most welcoming and efficient of managers.

The beautiful fireplace set the scene for a dream Christmas Eve.

A birthday to remember!!!!!!!! Very hard to put into words how fantastic this villa is. Double celebration..my 60th and two 50ths! The main villa is so spacious and each of the four huge bedrooms has its own ensuite. The smaller villa, with two bedrooms offered the same. We explored the surrounding areas during the day and came back for some chill time around the pool with a few wines. Enjoyed an amazing lunch at a local winery with a great tour included. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The views are simply breathtaking as you sit back and relax by the poolside or in the garden! The accommodation is absolutely charming and beautifully decorated. Overcrowding is not a concern as there is plenty of room to accomodate large groups without loosing the intimate feeling of holidaying with friends or family. Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with our family. It was truly memorable.

This is our "happy place". We have visited twice with 2 other families and have enjoyed every minute of our stay. Fabulous setting and view and perfectly located in the heart of Umbria. Super easy to do many day trips to surrounding villages. The spacious Villa is stocked with everything you can imagine and the outdoor area is outstanding. We loved spending time around the pool, cooking on the BBQ and playing croquet on the large grass area. We will return for a 3rd visit for sure.

Bellissimo! We stayed at Villa Capanne for Christmas 2016 with several families. The villa is fantastic. The photos are exactly what you find here on this property. The accommodation was exceptional and everyone had plenty of space. This was an amazing italian experience for us and our friends. We enjoyed day trips from this area, exploring lovely villages, and eating amazing local food. The countryside is so inviting. The caretakers of this property are extremely helpful with any plans you have. We endeavour to be back one day to this amazing location.
