The Experience
You’ll feel very Spanish in this lively and rustic place right by the main square. All food, including the bread, is cooked in a wood oven; steak comes on a hot stone and fish is fresh from Garrucha harbour. The menu includes artisan pizza, organic goat and excellent vegan, child-friendly and gluten free options.
The bar and terrace are bustling at lunchtimes with locals enjoying tapas and drinks alongside guests. Retreat to the inviting communal sitting space on the landing to browse books in five languages and you’ll find games and colouring things for children.
Hire bikes or walk along marked routes (from half an hour to a whole day). Come back to laze by the pool in the pretty garden, bubble in the Jacuzzi and find shade under the mandarin orange trees with a glass of local wine to hand while the barbecue gets fired up on some popular evenings.

Introducing
Clayton Morley
In his previous life, Clayton was a restaurateur in England and his partner Rachel was in Human Resources and accountancy. Their eldest daughter was the first child to be born in the village in over twenty years! They are friendly and helpful, and their ethos is to always employ local people.
We spent 3 nights over Christmas here looking for a time to relax and let others do the work. And that’s what happened. We were immediately given a warm welcome from Rachel, Amanda, and Clayton. Our room was basic with a very comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, with a nice view of the mountains. It was a refreshing change not to have a television. All meals (including an 8 course Christmas meal) were cooked in a wood burning oven and were delicious, as was the house red wine. Nothing was too much trouble and it was nice to see children and dogs made welcome. A most enjoyable stay…we’ll be back!
