The Experience
The history is fascinating: Romans, Arabs, Jews and Christians have left their mark on the buildings and a huge effort has been made to document as much as possible. You stay in cool, very comfortable suites or a room on the very top floor with its own roof terrace. All are spacious and you have TVs, seating areas and kitchenettes with two-ring hobs, microwave and fridge hidden behind doors so as not to disturb the aesthetics.
Take breakfast in the chapel while classical music plays – a grand experience: cheeses, hams, smoked salmon, fresh breads, jams and pastries which, if you prefer, you can have in the shaded courtyard under a giant Caliphate arch with a tinkling fountain. There is also a small bar and café but limitless restaurants in town. The owner can organise most things in advance including guided tours, Flamenco evenings and equestrian shows.
Head out to discover magnificent Córdoba, still a bustling city.

Introducing
Javier Velasco
Javier is an economist who worked in a bank but decided on a complete change of direction. It was a tough job to get planning permission given the age of the original building but with the help of the Prado Museum and the University of Córdoba it is now completed. He has a good team of people to help look after you and is a mine of information about organising experiences.
The conversion of three historic houses and a chapel into a luxurious boutique hotel makes this an exceptional place to stay. With the whole of the old town of Cordoba on its doorstep, touring the sights can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. The car is unnecessary whilst here, as there are a multitude of bars and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel itself is cool and comfortable.
