Casona de Indias

Over the past 15 years we have stayed in a number of Sawday's recommended accommodation and this is by far the best. Everything about our stay was excellent, the food (dinner and breakfast), the greeting from our host, the rooms, the visitors' lounge, it really was an outstanding experience. We will definately repeat our visit and stay a little longer.

After a week in Madrid in July, our family of four (mum, dad, 21 & 18 year olds) were very happy to escape the heat to this most lovely mountain retreat. This is a beautiful house in an idyllic location with wonderful mountain views. Pedro was a stellar host, and has renovated the home to a delightfully high standard with stylish interiors, very comfortable beds, and interesting collected objects from his travels to admire. The food was excellent and beautifully presented and all requests me made were convivially accommodated. Perfect!

Casona de Indias was everything the Sawdays write-up indicated and more. Pedro kindly allowed us to charge our electric car which enabled us to explore the majestic Picos scenery with a quiet mind. The house is furnished to a very high standard and reflects its interesting history. Supper at the Casona might include homemade soup and superb local anchovies or a tasty burrata salad with tomatoes and strawberries followed by delicious tortilla. Pedro is the most considerate host, the loudest noise you will hear is cowbells and we felt privileged to stay in such a restful and beautiful place.

A true gem in Asturias region, what a privilege to discover Casona de Indias. Pedro provides guests and the property with so much attention to detail. The house conveys comfort and sunlight, a place to unwind in amazing nature and opens up many opportunities to explore this amazing region.
